The Port Aransas Police Foundation (PAPF) was founded in 2015 by local Port Aransas citizens who saw a need to provide financial and volunteer assistance to the Port Aransas Police Department for equipment and programs that are not included in the city budget.
With the help and generosity of caring citizens like you, the Port Aransas Police Foundation is able to assist the Port Aransas Police Department in several important ways:
Support community initiatives, special events and programs that enable the Port Aransas Police Department to create and sustain partnerships with the Port Aransas citizens and visitors.
On an annual basis, award scholarships to dependents of Port Aransas police officers or others in the community that have demonstrated a high level of civic involvement.
Raise awareness of the outstanding service the PAPD provides to our communities.
Create a Police Officer’s Assistance Fund to support police officers and their families for officers injured in the line of duty.
Promote crime prevention and recognize outstanding service in the department and community.
