Thanks to generous donations from all over the country the Port Aransas Police Foundation (PAPF) raised over $94,000 in relief funds to assist First Responders in our community who suffered financial losses as a result of Hurricane Harvey. In total over $98,000 has been distributed to 46 First responders from Port Aransas PD, EMS & Fire Department and the Nueces County Constables office. The additional $4,000 disbursed over the amount donated was paid from the PAPF General Fund.
We want to assure those who donated that a great deal of time and effort was expended by the Foundation Board to assess and distribute your donations as fairly as possible based on the needs of the First Responder community.
